Sinclair Softball volunteers at the 8th Annual Wright Brothers Runway Fest
Dayton, OH – As summer comes to a close and the start of the a new academic term is around the corner, members of the Sinclair softball team spent the day volunteering at the Wright Brothers Airport – Runway Fest in Miamisburg.
Sinclair is coming off one of the most successful softball season in Sinclair history as they won the OCCAC regular season conference championship and the NJCAA District tournament to advance to the NJCAA Division II Softball College World Series for the first time in the school history.
This was the 8th annual Runway Fest open house, which took place on Friday August 9th. The free event involves aircraft static displays, airplane rides, inflatables and fireworks in a celebration of aviation. It was a night of flight-n-fun with local food trucks, bands and aircraft. A replica of the Wright “B” Flyer and Ford Tri-Motor built in 1928 was on display all evening.
The ladies joined forces by assisting with event set up, parking cars and greeting the public as they arrived.
