K.C. Gan has been the head volleyball coach at Sinclair Community College since 1999.  Now entering his 19th season with Sinclair, Gan has compiled back-to-back season best records of 35-6 (2013) and 32-7 (2012).  Lead by Gan, the Sinclair volleyball team went 18-12 in 2015 with a 7-3 home record.  Along with his head coaching experience, Gan also coached Junior Club and Junior Olympic Club volleyball for 12 years.

For 15 years, Gan was involved with one-on-one coaching in the Miami Valley.  His collegiate coaching record stands at 311-286 and his Junior Volleyball Club Team record is 285-269.  Gan was named OCCAC Coach of the Year in 2000, 2005, and 2012.  Also in 2005, Sinclair volleyball finished 1st in the OCCAC League. 

During his coaching career, he assisted in specialty and elite camps at Miami University in Oxford in 2003 and 2004.

There are not many coaches that have had the privilege to coach an All-American Player; in 2005, Sarah Wellner (6’ 2” OH – Miamisburg High School) second Team All-American, and in 2012 and 2013, Gan had a two-time First Team All-American (Jessica Thobe-Lehman Catholic High School) in the NJCAA.  The 2013 season was very successful for him as the ladies finished the season 10-2 in conference play and grabbed the top seed in the tournament.  This was the first time in school history that Sinclair was the top seed in the Regional Tournament. 2016, Meg Reineke (New Knoxville High School) Second Team All-American.

Gan has coached and played for the Southeast Asia Union College in Singapore.  He also played for the Malaysia Juniors National (1968-1971) and National teams (1969-1978). 

In addition to being the head volleyball coach here at Sinclair, K.C. is a Network Manager for capital equipment and service contracts for the Kettering Health Network.  He graduated from Muar High School in Malaysia and went on the graduate from Southeast Asia Union College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
