Sinclair Volleyball drops Miami-Hamilton in 3 sets

Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (17-8/8-3 OCCAC) Volleyball only needed 65 minutes to knock off Miami University-Hamilton (5-5/5-2 ORCC) 3-0 this afternoon.

Sinclair had no let down coming off a critical OCCAC victory last night and looked to be finding a groove for post-season play.  Not sure the Harriers of MUH were ready for the Sinclair fire power as the Pride scored early and often for an opening set victory 25-11.

The second set the visitors from Hamilton held their only lead of the match in the second set 11-9.  In a short and quick match, that would be the only success the Harriers would have against Sinclair and from that point the Pride was in total control pulling out a 25-16 set two win.

The third set was just a formality as Sinclair finished off the visitors from the Ohio Regional College Conference (ORCC) 25-14 and pushed their non-conference winning streak to 8 matches.

Miami-Hamilton (5-5/5-2)   11      16      14

Sinclair (17-8/8-3)              25      25      25

Congratulations to Sophomore Caroline Smith (SO/Tecumseh H.S. – New Carlisle, OH) as she moves into 2nd place on the Sinclair all-time Assists leader board, she passes Sarah Wright who finished her career with 1,426 assists.

Sinclair will have a busy home week coming up as they host Columbus State on Wednesday, Lorain County on Friday followed by the #1 nationally ranked Owens on Saturday.  All three matches are OCCAC matches.

All home games are played in Building 8 Arena on the downtown Dayton campus.
