Sinclair Volleyball wins 3-0 against Cincinnati State

Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (8-4/1-0) Volleyball opens the OCCAC season with a convincing 3-0 home win against visiting Cincinnati State (5-5/1-2) Surge.

Returning home after a 4-0 weekend at the Lakeland Invitational, Sinclair knocks off the Surge 3-0 to record win number one in the OCCAC.

Meg Reineke (5-10/SO – New Knoxville H.S.) this week’s OCCAC Player of the Week, paced the team with 13 Kills and 13 Digs.  Caroline Smith (5-3/FR – Tecumseh H.S.) had another strong contest with 21 assist followed by Sarah Bettinger (5-9/FR – Anna H.S.) with 6 Kills, 6 Aces and 16 Digs.

Cincinnati State was able to regroup after a quick game one, putting the Pride down early and forcing the home team to fight an uphill battle to the game two victory.  Just as in game one, Sinclair was in complete control and finished off a feisty Cincinnati State Surge.
