Sinclair Volleyball drops close home match to Vincennes

Dayton, OH – The Sinclair Volleyball team played its first home match of the 2015 season tonight against visiting Vincennes University out of Southern Indiana.

Sinclair (1-1) came out strong in game one racking up easy early points before Vincennes (3-1) got settled into the match.  The visiting Trailblazers held on to the following game to even the match at 1-1.

Vincennes was able to squeak out a hard fought win in game three with key kills and impressive saves to hold off the Tartan Pride.  With their backs against the wall and needing a win to stay alive, Sinclair rallied time after time to finally take game four and force a fifth and deciding game.

Vincennes was looking to finish game five early as they jumped out to a powerful 8-4 margin.  Not ready to throw in the towel on the home opener, Sinclair pushed back and was able to pull even at 11-11.  In the end, Vincennes had just a little too much power and experience and finished the match winning game five 15-13.
