Sinclair Volleyball Falls in Opening Match Against Vincennes 3-1

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Volleyball (0-1/0-0) team opened the 2014 season by hosting Vincennes University (4-1).  The Trailblazers coming off a 3-1 win at home against Lake Land CC, survived an emotional start by the Pride to win 3-1.

The opening two games of the match was well contested and full of exciting rallies as both teams could not pull away.  The visitors forged out a small lead that Sinclair could not over take in game one to post a 25-22 win.  The second game was just reversed as the home team held on to the narrowest of margins only to see Vincennes tie the game at 25 and force extra play.  The Pride finally got a break and was able to get that deciding point to clinch a very emotional game two 29-27.

Games three and four was all Vincennes as Sinclair could not find that spark they had early.  The Pride did make runs and managed to cut into the Trailblazers lead in both games but the visitors had too much power and put the match away with 25-16, 25-19 wins to earn win number 4 on the young season.
