Dayton, OH – Sinclair (9-17/3-5) drops the first of three straight home conference matches tonight against Cincinnati State (10-12/3-5).
Cincinnati State was able to take control of the two opening games winning key rallies in the middle and holding on down the stretch to take a 2-0 lead.
Sinclair took a little bit out of the Surge playbook as the home team went on a 6-0 run to its first lead of the night at 13-10 in the third game. The lead did not last long as Cincinnati State would quickly rallied back to knot it up, where it remained until Sinclair won the final two points to take game three 25-23.
Leading the match 2-1, the Surge came out strong and jumped up 8-4 trying to put Sinclair away early. Not done yet, the home team did find some spark to bring game four back to a tie as they were looking to push Cincinnati State to a fifth and deciding game. It was at that point, Cincinnati State made some outstanding plays and opened up a 5 point lead that Sinclair would not be able to overcome.
