SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Sinclair Community College swept the OCCAC men’s & women’s D-II Basketball Player of the Week awards for Nov. 12-18 and Amanda Schroeder earns her first OCCAC D-II Women’s Basketball Player of the Week distinction for the year.

Amanda Schroeder (6-00/SO – Dayton Carroll H.S.) corrals her first Player of the Week nod this season and the seventh of her career after leading the conference with six honors as a freshman. This week she was responsible for 29.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in a pair of victories for the 15th-ranked Tartan Pride. Schroeder added five steals, four assists and a block to her impressive stat line. She knocked down nearly half of her field goal attempts (21-43) and 14-of-16 foul shots. During a tightly-contested 78-75 triumph over the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Schroeder provided Sinclair with 38 points and 16 rebounds.

The defending OCCAC Player of the Year is off to another great start leading the OCCAC in scoring average with 27.3 points per game for the 6-0 Sinclair Tartan Pride.

Sinclair will have the rest of the week off and return to action Wednesday the 28th at 5:30 against OCCAC foe Edison State.
