Amanda Schroeder (6-00/FR – Carroll H.S.) continued her dominant freshman campaign, earning her fifth conference player of the week accolade through 12 weeks of the season. Her latest award-worthy performance was an impressive one. In three Sinclair victories, Schroeder averaged 27.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 2.7 assists while shooting 71% (34-48) from the field. She knocked down 4-of-10 three pointers and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe. Speaking of 9-for-11, that’s what Schroeder shot from the field in scoring 25 points against No. 16 Edison State to conclude the week
Sinclair has now moved up to #16 in the latest NJCAA D-II Women’s Basketball Poll. The 18-2 start and 7-0 in the OCCAC includes a 17 game winning streak. The Pride will host Lakeland on Saturday at 1pm in only arena in the nation named Building 8.
