Sinclair Women’s place four with OCCAC awards

Dayton, OH- The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) has announced the 2016-17 women’s basketball honors.  

Being named to the 2nd Team All-Conference, Reanna Dudley (5-04/SO-Chaminade-Julienne H.S.) who averaged 10.7 points per game and 3.2 assist per game.  Dudley also earned OCCAC Player of the Week honors the week of December 18th.

Sinclair (23-7) also had three players earning Honorable Mention All-Conference.  Former Volleyball standout that joined the team late, Lauren Roetgerman (5-10/SO-Minster H.S.) the teams third leading scorer with 10.0 points per games.  Lauren also earned OCCAC Player of the Week honors on February 5th

Two freshman made big impacts this year earning them Honorable Mention All-Conference, Madison Connally-Banks (6-01/FR-Fairmont H.S.) averaged a double-double this season as the leading scorer with 10.8 points per game and the second leading rebounder with 10.7 rebounds per game. Madison opened the season earning OCCAC Player of the Week honors on November 7, 2016.

Also earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in her freshman season, Aaryn Evans (6-00/FR – Thurgood Marshall H.S.).  Aaryn lead the team in rebounding, pulling down 10.9 boards per game.  She also averaged 7.5 points per game while being named OCCAC Player of the Week twice, November 28, 2016 and March 5, 2017.

Reanna Dudley and Aaryn Evans in addition to being named to OCCAC All-Conference, they were also named the 2016-17 OCCAC All-Defensive Team.

As voted by the OCCAC Coaches, Madison Connally-Banks was named to the 2016-17 OCCAC All-Freshman Team as one of the top freshman.

Finally, Reanna Dudley was also named to the NJCAA Division II All-District Team for 2016-17.
