  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball Move on in District Tournament with Home Win Against Edison 66-57

    Dayton, OH- Sinclair Women’s Basketball (23-7) came out to avenge their earlier season home loss against the Chargers of Edison State Community College (20-11) and make it two in a row against the conference foe. The Tartan Pride did just that and with good timing since this was the first game in the NJCAA Division II District tournament and winner goes on while loser goes home.

    Dayton, OH-The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference has announced Sinclair Women’s Basketball freshman forward Aaryn Evans (6-00/FR – Thurgood Marshall H.S.) as this week’s Division II OCCAC Player of the Week.
  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball Fall at Home to Cuyahoga 35-36

    Dayton, OH- Sinclair Women’s Basketball (21-7, 9-6) came out determined to win for Sophomore Night against the Challengers of Cuyahoga Community College (20-7, 10-5), but came up just short at the end. Sophomores being recognized included Doriann Carter (Northmont H.S.), Reanna Dudley (Chaminade Julienne H.S.), and Lauren Roetgerman (Minster H.S.).
  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball wins big against Lorain County 78-29

    Dayton, OH- Sinclair Women’s Basketball (20-6, 9-5) came out in big fashion with a huge home win against the Commodores of Lorain County Community College (2-26-0-15). This is Victoria Jones’ first 20-win season as head coach of the Tartan Pride.
  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball wins big against Clark State 82-76
    February 15, 2017
    Dayton, OH-In the annual Pink Game, Sinclair Women’s Basketball (19-6, 8-5) came home from a four-game road trip to defeat the Eagles of Clark State Community College (4-14, 2-10). While on the road, the Tartans went 2-2, so this was a huge home win for them as the season dwindles down with only 4 regular season games left.
  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball Roetgerman named OCCAC Player of the Week
    February 06, 2017
    Lauren Roetgerman (5-10/FR – Minster HS), recorded a season-high 23 points twice in a pair of wins for Sinclair Community College last week. In doing so, she averaged 23 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 3.5 steals and two blocks per game.

  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball blows out Hocking College 71-29

    Dayton, OH- Sinclair Women’s Basketball (16-3, 5-2) cruise over the Hawks of Hocking College for an easy win with a score of 71-29. The Tartan Pride looked good on both offense and defense sides. Every player for Sinclair was able to get into the game and score some points.

    Sinclair Women’s Basketball Cruise Past WPAFB 74-37 Dayton, OH- Sinclair Women’s Basketball (11-2, 1-1) come off holiday break with an easy win against the Hawks of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The Tartans did not have a problem holding off the Hawks with both side of the ball working in their favor tonight. Offense was able to score and the defense also held their own in the game.

    Dayton, Ohio---Due to the expanding nature of Division II and Division III teams within the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) for men's and women's basketball, the OCCAC will be expanding its player of the week awards for the first time in conference history.
  • (20)Sinclair Women’s Basketball Wins 8th Straight Game 74-67 Over Columbus State

    Dayton, OH- With last Saturday’s game postponed against Lakeland, Sinclair Women’s Basketball (10-1, 1-0) opened conference play against Columbus State Community College (2-8, 0-2) at home with a big win. Sinclair had not had a win against Columbus State since the 2014-2015 season so this meant a lot to the Tartan Pride.

    Dayton, Ohio-The Sinclair Women’s basketball team returned to the national rankings this week at #20 with a 9-1 start. Under 2nd year Head Coach Victoria Jones and former UD standout, Coach Jones has quickly built a young team that has been blowing teams out.
  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball Win 6th Straight Game 58-39

    Dayton, OH- The Sinclair Women’s Basketball (8-1, 0-0) dominated at home with their 6th straight win against the Yellow Jackets of Cedarville University-Junior Varsity. The Tartans started the first quarter with a lackluster offensive show. Turnovers could not be avoided. Their defense, although, looked spectacular with steals and making the Yellow Jackets turn over the ball themselves. Sinclair ended the first quarter with a 14-10 lead. Aaryn Evans (6-00/FR-Thurgood Marshall H.S.) led the team with 6 points.

  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball Wins at Home 48-43 on Veterans Day

    Dayton, OH- The Sinclair Women’s Basketball (3-1) pulled out a great win tonight for their first home win of the season against the Skippers of St. Clair County Community College-MI (0-2). The Tartans had a slow start to being the game. Defense looked sharp as they kept the Skippers to only 8 points in the first quarter. Similarly, Sinclair only scored 11 points in the first quarter with Lauren Roetgerman leading the offense with a 3-point FG.

  • Sinclair Women’s Basketball fall in home opener 66-69

    The Sinclair Women’s Basketball (2-1) lost a tough game in their home opened to the Thunderhawks of Miami University-Middletown (1-1). The first quarter showed promise for the Tartan Pride. Defense was key for the ladies as they kept MUM to just 13 points. Their movement of the ball was not perfect, but looked decent. Sinclair was able to put 24 points on MUM in the first quarter. Madison Connally-Banks (6-01/FR-Fairmont H.S.) led the team in with 8 points and Nia Martin (5-04/FR, Trotwood-Madison H.S.) had 6 points.

    Dayton, OH – Members of the 2016-17 Sinclair Women’s Basketball team joined forces with others from the Miami Valley for breast cancer awareness.
  • Sinclair Student-Athletes register to vote

    The Sinclair athletic department took time away from all the activities associated with the first day of classes to fulfill a civic responsibility, registering to vote. Monday was the first day of class and all 5 athletic teams (about 90 student-athletes) met with Beverly King - Supervisor of Registration for the Montgomery County (OH) Board of Elections.
