Tartans Cruise Past Lorain 80-38

DAYTON, Ohio – Sinclair (15-8/5-3) women’s team winning streak now stands at 4 with the 80-38 home victory over visiting Lorain County (5-18/0-9) Commodores.

Sinclair came fast and never looked back.  Even though the Commodores were able to make mini run during the first half, Sinclair kept the pressure on and posted a 37-23 half time lead.

The second half was not much better for Lorain as they seemed to run out of gas.  Coach Stewart continued to use his bench and they produced, outscoring Lorain’s bench 29-8.

Top performances for Sinclair O’Sha Owens (SO/5-5 – Elida H.S.) poured in a game high 22 points with a game high 7 assist and 7 rebounds.  Freshman Sara Thornton (FR/5-7 – Kenton Ridge H.S.) came off the bench to collect 12 points.

Sinclair is back home on Wednesday night at 5:30 as they take on Cincinnati State in the only arena in the nation named: Building 8 - Sinclair Community College.
