Sinclair Women's Basketball Picked to Finish 4th in OCCAC

Dayton, Ohio- In its second annual preseason coaches' poll, Sinclair Community College was picked to finish fourth in the Ohio Community College Athletics Conference (OCCAC). In front of the Tartan Pride include (in order) Owens Community College, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and Columbus State Community College.

Alona Skipper, a 5'9" Forward out of Kettering, Ohio has been recognized as one of three Top Incoming Freshman according to NJCAA's DII 2014-15 Women's Basketball Season Preview of the Top Newcomers in District XI.  The other three freshman recognized include Christie Graves (Clark State), Toshanae Duncan (Cuyahoga) and Sierra Harley (Owens).

Three Tartans were named as preseason Top Returning Players in that same NJCAA Season Preview. First recognized was O'sha Owens, a 5'5" Guard from Lima, Ohio was 1st Team All-OCCAC last season. She averaged 15.3 points, 6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.1 steals per game. Next was Jenae Curtiss, a 5'7" Forward from Dayton, Ohio. She averaged 14.2 points and 7.3 rebounds in 30 games played last season. Curtiss was All-OCCAC Honorable Mention a year ago. Last mentioned was Breanna Ball, a 5'7" Guard out of Dayton, Ohio. Ball averaged 13.6 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game.
