Dayton, OH – Cassie Osterfeld, of the Sinclair softball team was named the OCCAC player of the week for the week of March 3-9. Sinclair started off the season playing in the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. over spring break. Cassie ignited the bats and Sinclair's hitting game as she collected hits in five of six games last week.
Cassie Osterfeld (FR/Outfielder - Miamisburg H.S., Miamisburg, OH) drove in half of Sinclair's 10 runs as she went 2-for-3 at the plate, racking up 5 RBI's against Ferrum College JV (Virginia) in the second game. Osterfeld then went 3-for-4 in two of the six games played at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic.
Osterfeld went 11-for-18 (.611) with two runs, four doubles, one triple, and seven RBI's in the five games for the week as she earned OCCAC Player of the Week. She is currently hitting .524 over the first six games to lead Sinclair to a 4-2 start. Sinclair next plays at home on Thursday, March 13 against Miami-Hamilton at 4:30 PM. All Sinclair home games are played at Athletes in Action Sports Complex in Xenia, OH.
