Jason Williams is entering his 5th season as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach starting in the 2010-2011 season.
A Dayton native, Williams successfully endured the rigors of being a student-athlete on several levels. While participating in various sports, Williams completed his prep career graduating from Stivers School for the Arts.
Upon graduation, he transitioned his basketball experience to the Junior College level, under the guidance of former Tartan coach Paul Bryant. Simultaneously, Coach Williams concluded his Sinclair tenure with a A.A. in Communications, while Coach Jeff Price embarked on what's now become a lengthy Tartan Head Coaching career.
Before adjourning his collegiate experience, Williams reconnected with Coach Paul Bryant at Urbana University for one final lap. The move proved to be fruitful, earning Coach Williams not only another chance at playing, but also yielding a B.A. in Communications.
Upon completing the student-athlete role, Coach Williams now focuses on family and reciprocating valuable knowledge attained.
He has over the years elevated his coaching experience from youth sports to now the collegiate level.
Williams attributes the culmination of past endeavors, to not only aide the development of players individual skill-sets, but also help to reinforce vital life-skills. That keen direction parallels the program's ultimate goal of academic excellence.
