SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The OCCAC has selected Sinclair’s Tre’maine Gray to receive the Division II Basketball Player of the Week honors after a Thanksgiving week with limited on-court action.

Tre’maine Gray (6-00/SO – Akron Firestone H.S.) kept the weekly crown in Dayton, following up Sean McNeil’s back-to-back wins for three straight by Sinclair. Gray was ultra-efficient in a pair of wins last week, burying 14-of-16 (88%) field goal attempts, including 4-for-4 from long range. He also connected on 9-of-10 foul shots for an average of 20.5 points per game. Gray was active on the defensive end as well, swiping 4.5 steals/game and blocking two shots. He capped his stat line with a half dozen assists and four rebounds in a total of 53 minutes played.

Gray has stepped up on the offensive end as he is now the third leading scorer at 16.3 points per game for Sinclair and doing it off the bench.  Overall for the season, he is shooting 58.5% from the field and 38.9% from the 3pt line and has only missed 3 free throws out of 32 attempts for 90.6%.

Sinclair (4-2) takes on Edison State (6-1) Wednesday at 7:30 in Building 8 Arena.  This should be another high scoring event as both teams are averaging in the 90’s, Sinclair at 99.3 and Edison at 91.0.
