Sinclair voted 2nd in OCCAC Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Cuyahoga Community College Men’s Basketball has been tabbed as the 2018-19 preseason favorite in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, receiving first-place votes from seven of the other eight head coaches across the league. Sinclair C.C. and Columbus State C.C. came in at No. 2 and No. 3 in the OCCAC Preseason Coaches Poll, respectively, each garnering one first-place vote.

Sinclair returns three student athletes from last season’s 17-15 squad.  Returning for a second season, Isaiah Collier (6-5/SO – North Laurel (KY) HS), Nicoloy Bailey (6-7/SO – Old Harbour HS – Jamaica) and Javell Redwood (6-11/SO – Old Harbour HS – Jamaica).

A solid recruiting class will add to a strong core; transfers Tre’Maine Gray (6-00/SO – Akron Firestone HS), Ronnell Turner (6-2/FR – Cincinnati Northwest HS) and Sean McNeil (6-4/FR – Union (KY) HS).  Incoming freshman includes; Mike White (6-2/FR – Columbus East HS), Abe Batman (5-8/FR – Beavercreek HS), Cade Morgan (6-4/FR – Fairmont HS), Nicolas Phillips (6-7/FR – Belize City, Belize) and Dejuan Lawrence (6-8/FR – Akron Kenmore HS.)
