SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The OCCAC has announced this weeks basketball players of the week selections.

Isaiah Trice (6-2/FR – Wayne HS, Huber Heights, OH) picks up his first career conference accolade, joining teammates Quantes Jackson and LiDonta Hicks-Gentry as Tartan Pride representatives this season. He dropped in 25.0 points per game and narrowly missed out on averaging a double-double with 9.5 rebounds/game. Trice opened the week by stuffing the stat sheet with 28 points (tying his career high), 12 rebounds, eight assists and three steals as Sinclair topped Thomas More College (JV) by 19 points. He then came back to produce 22 points and seven rebounds vs. Lakeland later in the week.

The game against Thomas More tied a Sinclair record with 17 made 3’s in a game for the team. By knocking down eight 3’s, Trice fell just two made 3’s short of the record for made 3’s in a single game by an individual.

Sinclair travels to Hocking College Wednesday to take on the Hawks in an OCCAC match.

Saturday Sinclair will host the #1 team in the nation Cuyahoga in a critical OCCAC game as the regular enters the home stretch.

All home games are played on the downtown Dayton campus in the only arena in the nation named Building 8.  The game will be streamed live on Facebook with additional coverage from the Gem City Sports Network.
