Sinclair Student-Athletes joined forces in the Peacebuilder Walk

Dayton, OH – Approximately 25 Sinclair student-athletes from the men’s & women’s basketball teams and the softball team spent Sunday afternoon walking to promote peace literacy and to support our local Peacebuilder organizations.

Organized by the Dayton Rotary Club, the annual Peacebuilder Walk and Village promote peace literacy, unites our community, support local Peacebuilder organizations, and celebrate heroes who make a safer and more peaceful world.

Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley stopped by and chatted with the student-athletes before they departed on their 2.559 mile walk.

Peace DAYton is a collaborative group associated with over 85 organizations throughout the Dayton region, with a vision to encourage and highlight each organization’s year-long efforts to build a more peaceful community.

This year the Peacebuilder Village at Riverscape made up of booths from non-profit organizations around the Miami Valley. Each booth had representatives from the organization with materials and presentations of their work for peace in the area.
