Sinclair Men’s Basketball signs Isaiah Trice out of Wayne

April 26, 2017

Dayton, Ohio-The Sinclair Men’s Basketball staff is pleased to announce the signing of Wayne H.S. Senior Isaiah Trice

Isaiah averaged 10.6 points per game his senior season and pulled down 4.7 rebounds while handing out 2.1 assist and collecting 1.5 steals per game.  He started all 24 games for the Wayne Warriors and was named 2nd team All-GWOC (Greater Western Ohio Conference).

Trice played many different rolls for the Warriors that finished the regular season 15-9 and a trip to the OHSAA Boys’ Basketball Division I District Semifinals.  He was Wayne’s leading 3 point threat at 48% on the years, ranking him 3rd in the GWOC.

Isaiah (6-2/185) is the biggest of the Trice brother’s, Travis that played at Michigan State and current Wisconsin Badger D’Mitrik.  He is also the son of Wayne H.S. Head Basketball Coach Travis Trice.

Playing out of position all season for the betterment of the team has added to his overall game. His already high basketball IQ, deadly shooting eye and athleticism will only be magnified by his increased physicality.

“After considering other college opportunities, I feel Coach Price and Sinclair will be the best situation for me to develop and work on my weaknesses said Isaiah.  Ultimately, my goal is to play Division 1 basketball. Already being a NCAA qualifier takes that pressure off of me. I just need to focus on getting better and I believe with my improving work ethic and Coach Price's guidance I will get there.”
