LiDonta Hicks-Gentry earns OCCAC Players of the Week

Dayton, Ohio - LiDonta Hicks-Gentry (6-7/FR – Fort Wayne Snider H.S. - IN) has been named this week's Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) Division II player of the week recipient. 

(19) Sinclair (16-4/4-3) finished a grueling three game week 2-1 and currently ranked 19th in the latest NJCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Poll.   

Hicks-Gentry had a great week as his team won two of three games played. The freshman forward averaged 17 points, 16.9 rebounds, two assists and 1.7 steals per game.

He opened the week with 20 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and one steal in a 104-59 win over Lakeland. On Wednesday, he had 18 points, 15 rebounds, three steals, one block and one assist in an 89-42 win over Clark State, and he closed the week with 13 points, 18 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one turnover in a 93-63 loss to Cuyahoga.

LiDonta is now averaging 11.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game for Sinclair this year.

Sinclair will return to action on Saturday at home against OCCAC conference rival Edison State at 3:00pm.  All home games are played in the only arena in the nation named Building 8 on the downtown Dayton campus.
