February 27, 2016

Dayton, Ohio – The (5)Sinclair Men’s basketball (27-2/13-1) won its 5th conference championship this season and it first since 2007-08.

This has been a record breaking season for the Pride as they started the season winning their first 21 games which not only broke that Sinclair record but also set a school record for winning 21 straight games, the longest winning streak this season in NJCAA.

The Pride has spent most of the season ranked in the Top 5 of the nation with three weeks at #2.

With the win over Edison State on Saturday, the 2015-16 team now stands alone in Sinclair history with 13 conference victories.  Saturday’s win also set a new school mark with 15 home wins and 27 regular season wins.

The Pride made 17 three point shots in a game and blocked 13 shots in a single contest, both new school records.

Heading into the NJCAA District Tournament as the #1 seed, Sinclair has broken or tied over 25 team and individual records this season.
