(12) Sinclair Men’s Basketball stays unbeaten with 120-61 home victory

Dayton, Ohio – Playing the first game after receiving notice that the Pride had moved up to #12 in the first NJCAA Division II Men’s Basketball poll. Sinclair (8-0) scored 70 second half points to sweep the season series with Hocking College (2-6) in route to a 120-61 home win.
With the 120 points scored tonight this was the second 120 point game this season and the first time since the 2011-12 that Sinclair has posted the 120 mark. This was also the fifth time this season that the Pride hit the century mark on the scoreboard.
A balanced attack once again as Sinclair had 8 in double figures and two players with double-doubles. The Pride continues to share the ball as they handed out 27 assist on 41 made field goals. Sinclair had a noticeable size advantage and they took advantage and pounded that ball down low time after time, the Pride made 30 out of 38 (78.9%) free throw attempts.
Two players paced the Pride a with double-double, Manny Powell (5-8/SO – Gahanna Lincoln H.S.) 21 points and 11 assist and Steven Perriere (6-7/SO – Paris, France) chipped in with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Saturday the Pride will return to action as Mid-Michigan makes their first trip to the Downtown Dayton Campus and the only arena in the nation named: Building 8.
