Men’s Basketball wins at home 96-74

November 21, 2015

Dayton, Ohio – The Sinclair Men’s basketball (5-0) is off to a 5-0 start with the home win over visiting Henry Ford (0-4) 96-74.  After opening the season with four straight road games, the Pride finally got back to Building 8 Arena.

Playing in front of the home crowd for the first time this season, the pace was a little slow as both teams couldn’t find the range.  Once the game was underway, Sinclair settled in and started to control the paint.  On the defensive end, Sinclair’s length bothered the Hawks as they shot 29% from the field in the 1st half.  Sinclair took a 52-29 lead into the locker room at half on the heels of 52% shooting.

The second half both teams played even as each team took turns at making runs.  Sinclair was able to push the lead up to as many as 33 points (66-33) in the second half.

Reshardd Harris (6-4/SO – Detroit Michigan Collegiate H.S.) poured in a game high 26 points with 19 rebounds, his first double-double of the year.  Steven Perriere (6-8/SO – Villepinte, France – Jean Rostand H.S.) had another double figure rebounding night with 14 to go along with 8 points.

Sinclair will continue the home stand on Tuesday night as they will play the University of Pikeville (KY) JV team at 5:30pm.
