Dayton, Ohio – The Sinclair Men’s basketball Sophomore Reshardd Harris (6-4/SO – Detroit Michigan Collegiate H.S.) has been named the OCCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for December 13-19.  This marks the third time this season Harris has earned Player of the Week for the OCCAC.

Harris, a sophomore 6-4 forward from Detroit Michigan, helped Sinclair Community College picked up two tough conference wins and remain undefeated on the season by averaging 25 points, nine rebounds, two assists, 1.5 steals and one block per game.

In a 90-87 win over Columbus State on Dec. 15, Harris had 23 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. Then, in an 82-75 win over Owens Community College on Saturday, he produced 27 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

Maybe most impressively, Harris combined to shoot 23-for-32 from the field to raise his season field goal percentage to 65.9 percent.

Overall, Harris is averaging 21.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game for Sinclair, who are now 13-0 overall and 3-0 in OCCAC play.

The 13-0 start ties a school record for best start to a season and also ties a school record for longest winning streak.

Sinclair will have a chance to break both records when they return from break as they host West Virginia University-Parkersburg on January 2nd at 3pm.
