Tartan Pride Roll to a 110-46 Win Over The Ohio State Univ.-Lima

Dayton, Ohio- The Sinclair Tartan Pride roll to a big 110-46 win over The Ohio State University-Lima Barons. Sinclair was led by Jabriel Coaston (6'6" sophomore forward out of Cincinnati, Ohio) who recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Sinclair improves to 2-1 and OSU-Lima falls to 0-2.

The game began with OSU-Lima and Sinclair trading buckets but quickly got out of hand as Larry Fuqua III picked up three early fouls for the Barons. The Tartans were able to take advantage by going on a 24-0 run through majority of the first half to build a substantial lead. Sinclair's efficiency shooting from the floor was key component to their success. They shot 45.7 percent from the field scoring 21 of their 46 attempts. On the other end, the Tartan's sound defense forced the Barons to shoot 17.6 percent from the field and was able to out rebound OSU-Lima 37-18. Westley Parr (6'7" sophomore forward from Cleveland, Ohio) led the scoring for the first half with 10 points. Jabriel Coaston (6'6" sophomore forward out of Cincinnati, Ohio) was active on the boards grabbing 12 boards. Sinclair went into the locker room with a 50-18 lead. 

Sinclair was able to maintain and continue to increase their lead in the second half. The Tartans defense was able to force the Barons to take 34 threes, majority of which were contested. The Barons were only able to convert 19.2 percent of their attempts from beyond the arc. Every Tartan player was able to contribute to the score line and 51 points came from the bench. Efficient shooting carried over to the second half and was even better as the Tartans shot 63.2 percent from the field. They ended the game shooting 53.6 percent overall. 

Notable performances included Steven Perriere (6'7" freshman forward out of Villepinte, France) who recorded his first double-double for the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five different Tartan players scored in double figures, two of which came off the bench. For the Barons, Larry Fauqua III scored 16 points in only 18 minutes of play.
