25 years ago former Sinclair Men’s Basketball player knocked out Mike Tyson

DAYTON, Ohio- 25 years ago today, James Buster Douglas knocked out previously undefeated heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson in Tokyo, Japan.

Buster played in 29 games for Sinclair during the 1979-80 season in which he earned OCCAC All-Conference honors.  He averaged just over 21 points per game and scored in double figures in every single game, scoring 20 or more points a total of 14 times..  His two top performances came against Cuyahoga CC as he poured in 34 and a career high 35 against Southern Ohio College (now Southern State CC).
