JULY 7 - Sinclair Men's Basketball Putts fore Pride Golf Outing

This year we are excited to once again hold our event at NCR CC – South. It has been listed among the Top 100 Classical Courses in the nation and hosting this event at a championship venue like NCR – South will only enhance the patron's experience.

We would like to ask for your support again this year with either a hole sponsorship or with an invitation to play.

Last year's event played a major part in the continued success of our Men's Basketball program this season. The team finished 3rd in the conference with a 21-9 record with 11 weeks being ranked in the Top 20 of the NJCAA Division II National Polls – and three weeks being ranked as high as 4th in the nation.

Success on the court was just one of the components of what happens inside the Men's Basketball program. While visiting the Dayton VA during the fall, members of the team toured the facility and spent time with the Vets and their families. The team made a special connection with one gentleman in particular, a former POW from WW II. The team decided to honor him during Military Appreciation Day at a home game by naming him honorary Asst. Coach and having him on the bench during the game.

Other team activities included a trip to the WPAFB on Nov. 22nd to tour President Kennedy's Air Force One on the 50th anniversary of the assassination. Serving Thanksgiving Dinner at the Dayton Boys & Girls Club. Volunteering as Assistant Coaches for the Oakwood Youth Basketball Program.

And monies raised during this golf outing help us continue a tradition of taking our Student/Athletes outside the field of competition for the Personal Growth portion of our (PEP) – Player Enhancement Program. Last year the team traveled to Philly to play an Ivy League Institution – The University of Pennsylvania in the famed Palestra. The game was just the vehicle, even though many players never get to experience playing in such a historical venue, the real portion of the trip was the activities surrounding the game. The team toured Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell as well other notable historical sites.

In addition to going to Philly every three years, the team will travel to DC to tour the White House, Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington and the Supreme Court every three years.

This coming year we will once again travel to Chapel Hill to take on the University of North Carolina Tar Hills as well as local educational venues.

Your support is critical to the success of our Player Enhancement Program and why Student/Athletes select Sinclair over other programs, great academics and a great growth opportunity both inside and out of athletics.

Thank you again for your support and we hope you will join us as we continue to build on what has become a strong tradition of guiding young individuals on their journey.
