Steve Dintaman became the 7th Head Coach in Tartan Pride history in August of 2007. Dintaman will enter his 10th season as Head Coach of the Tartan Pride this spring.

The 2016 season will go down as the greatest season in the history of the program. Coming off a school record of 50 wins the previous year, the Tartans exceeded that total, winning 53 games and their 1st ever Region XII Championship. As region champs, they recieved a bid to the school's 1st World Series apperance in Enid, Oklahoma. Overall, they finished 3rd in the World Series, and had a record of 53-12 (Most wins in school history). In the past three years, Sinclair has won more games than any other NJCAA DII program with 149.

In his nine seasons as Head Coach, Dintaman’s teams have averaged nearly 40 wins a season and he’s sent over hundred players onto four years schools.  Over 36 of those players have moved onto the Division I level, including six from last year’s team. Also in those years, Dintaman has coached fourty-one OCCAC All-Conference players, ten All-Region XII Tournament selections, twelve All-Region XII players, nine NJCAA Academic All-Americans and five NJCAA All-American.

Before his tenure as Head Coach began, Dintaman served as an Assistant Coach for Mike Goldschmidt for three seasons. During those years he helped guide the Pride to a 125-41 record and served as the teams Recruiting Coordinator. Dintaman graduated from Sinclair in 2004 and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Dayton in 2006. At Sinclair, Dintaman was an OCCAC All-Conference Selection in the 2004 season.

In 2015 & 2016, Dintaman served as a Task Force Member for USA Baseball during the National Team Identification Series. Besides coaching, Dintaman is very active in the Dayton community.  List of activities have included: Buddy Walk, Light The Night Walk, Making Strides Walk, and team blood donations at the Community Blood Center. Dintaman resides in Kettering with his wife Kristen and their daughter Harper Noelle, who was born on January 1, 2017.
