Sophomore outfielder Brandon Henson has committed to play at Virginia Commonwealth.
One of the top outfielders in the region, Henson turned in a strong first season for the Tartans. He finished with a team leading 11 homeruns, while knocking in 51 RBI’s, mainly from the leadoff spot. His .374 average was one of the best on the team, and that earned him an All-OCCAC selection. One of his many highlights came in the Cuyahoga series, where he went 4-4 in game two, with two homeruns and 6 RBI’s, leading the Pride to a 9-8 victory. Earlier in the conference season, he hit this walk-off homerun to beat Mercyhurst Northeast.
Off the field, Henson will graduate this spring with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts.
Congrats to Brandon, and we wish him the best of luck.
