Dayton, Ohio - Kyle Ruehlman (FR/RHP – Milford H.S.) named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) pitcher of the week for games played May 1-7.

Ruehlman, a freshman right-handed pitcher from Sinclair Community College, tossed a seven-inning complete game in a 6-1 win over Cuyahoga Community College last week. He allowed just one hit, one run (zero earned) and one walk with four strikeouts to help his team claim an outright OCCAC championship by one game.

Ruehlman is now 4-1 overall this year with a 0.56 ERA. He has struck out 30 over 32 innings with four complete games.

Sinclair is 43-13 overall this year and currently ranked 12th in NJCAA Division II.

The OCCAC Champions will open the NJCAA Region XII Tournament on Wednesday May 17th in Battle Creek, MI.  The Pride will take on Kalamazoo Valley at 4pm with the winner moving onto the Semi-Finals Thursday at Noon.
