Sophomore outfielder Nick Massey has committed to play at Youngstown State University.
As the only returning starter from last year’s World Series team, Massey was the everyday rightfielder for nearly the entire regular season. An injury to Tartan third basemen Alec Turner moved Nick to the infield, where he excelled, and played every postseason game. Massey led the team with 84 runs scored (school record), 6 triples, and 26 stolen bases. He also finished second on the team with a .385 batting average, while knocking in 49 RBI’s. Off the field, Massey carries over a 3.0 GPA, and will graduate this spring with an Associate’s Degree.
Congrats to Nick, and we wish him the best of luck.
