Sinclair Baseball on base with National Make a Difference Day
DAYTON, Ohio - On October 22nd, 10 volunteers from the Sinclair baseball team join forces from across the country for Make A Difference Day, one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide.
Since 1992, volunteers and communities have come together on Make A Difference Day with a single purpose: to improve the lives of others. Make A Difference Day is made possible by volunteers and the people of TEGNA with support from Arby’s Foundation and Points of Light.
The Dayton area had four different project going on all organized through the City of Kettering. The Sinclair boys of summer planted 11 trees at Berwin Park with the assistance from a generous grant from Montgomery County.
Other project included over 430 medallions being glued to storm drains, mulched over 1,500 feet of pathway at Southdale Park and made nearly 1,000 cards to be sent overseas to our military personnel.
Nearly 300 volunteers made 2016 Make A Difference Day a huge success.
