Sinclair Outfielder earns 3rd team All-American honors

Dayton, OH – The NJCAA has announced its Division II All-American team and Sophomore Outfielder Ben Myers (Grove City, OH) was named to the 3rd team for 2016.

The sophomore outfielder from Grove City H.S., paced the Pride to a Region XII Championship and the programs first ever trip to the World Series.

Along the way, Ben earned conference player of the week (April 30) and was named to the OCCAC All-Conference team.  He was also named 1st team All-Region XII and made the All-Tournament Region XII team. 

Ben recorded 86 hits and 19 doubles with an on base percentage of .516 and a batting average of .426, which ranked him #1 on the team in all 4 categories as he becomes the 8th Tartan to earn All-American status in baseball.

Not only did Ben help the Tartan Pride to a 3rd place finish at the D-II World Series, he earned his second Academic All-Conference Award for having a GPA over 3.3 and has committed to Fairmont State (NCAA Division II) in West Virginia.
